The high-capacity linear volumetric filler will operate at up to 150 trays per minute depending on the product and volume.
The product is fed into the static hopper by means of a feed screw or elevator designed to suit the product, on demand from a level probe fitted in the product hopper. The reciprocating product plate which contains the volumetric pockets retracts and moves the pockets underneath the product in the hopper. The plate then moves forward underneath the rotating teasing mechanism which straddles the width of the hopper ensuring that product in each hopper is level with the top.
This teasing mechanism is fitted with variable speed to accommodate different products. In the forward position the pockets are over the filling conveyor (which is normally same pitch as the volumetric pockets). When the containers are positioned underneath the volumetric pockets the sensors trigger the pockets gate and allow the product to drop into container. Each gate has its own sensor thus giving a "no container - no fill" function. On most products, filling takes place while the container is in motion (an intermittent motion conveyor should not be necessary).
The machine then repeats the cycle. The cycle speed and the speed of the teasing mechanism together with the relative position of the teasing mechanism is all adjustable to suit the product.
Production rate: up to 20 cycles per minute (multiplied by the number of trays).
Electric consumption: 2,5 KW/h
Compressed air consumption: 100 NL per minute
