The Filler is suitable for dosing liquids and semi-liquid products containing solid particulates up to 3cm cubed and all products that may be damaged by filling process e.g. vegetable soup, small pasta with broth, tripe, Russian salad, puree, boiled rice with sauce etc.
The Piston filler is supplied in two versions - the 15 litre hopper and the 200 litre hopper.
The piston is operated by a servo motor that provides accurate and consistent control during filling and is highly flexible for changeover. A PLC is used to control the filler which allows pre-programming of different product recipes. Automatic variation of the fill volume when a given recipe is selected is therefore possible. When changing a stored programme i.e., adjusting the fill time or volume of fill, the speed of the piston is automatically adjusted to suit.
The following additional items are available:
- a special dosing valve with pneumatic operation for accurate cut off at the end of the filling cycle. Pieces that are passing through the nozzle at the end of the cycle will be severed.
- Product hopper complete with level probes to call product as required.
- Agitating device inside the hopper to keep particulates in suspension if required.
- In addition to the agitator, a product scraper and feed screw can be fitted inside the hopper for viscous or non flowing materials.
- Jacket hopper with indirect heating system for maintaining product temperature (hot or cold).
Material: the machine frame is constructed in AISI 304. All product contact parts are in AISI 316 stainless steel and washing of the machine can be carried out using a CIP system.
Speed: up to 60 cycles/minute depending upon product consistency.
